East Devon’s newest town is expected to ultimately grow to 8,000 homes with a population of 20,000. The new town centre is currently under construction, with Morrisons supermarket expected to open in 2024. 

The town centre will provide an attractive community space, comprising high street retail units, a health and wellbeing hub, a leisure centre, day nursery, residential units, smaller scale offices, County Council multi-service building and Town Council offices. 

Primary, secondary schools and the Younghayes Community Centre are in the vicinity. 

There will be 11 retail units which front onto Tillhouse Road and adjacent to the busy Town Square, offering alfresco dining and outside seating. The units range in size from 570 sq ft to 1015 sq ft. 

At the most recent census, Cranbrook is currently home to 6743 people, providing the Enterprise Zone with a talented and growing workforce. The town has excellent walking and cycling routes to Exeter and surrounding areas, plus its own train station which can take you to the heart of the vibrant city of Exeter in only 9 minutes, as well as connecting you to London and beyond. Cranbrook is closely situated near the A30 (to London) and the M5 (to Bristol). Exeter Airport is only 3 miles away.
